Window Stickers and Decals

Christian Car Window Decals

Car Window Stickers and Window Decals
Window decals for colleges have been around a long time, but more recently we see a lot of people putting the Christian Fish decals on their cars. These decals come on a clear sheet of plastic as a reverse image, and you put it on by first cleaning the inside of window surface, then wetting it and sticking the transfer onto the glass.  The backing peels right off and the window decal will dry in about an hour.

Calvin Sticker
The Calvin sticker is one of the all time favorite car window decals.  There is whole line of Calvin and Hobbes stickers, most of them at the protest of artist Bill Watterson, who retired several years ago. He would never approve of the kind of mischief his character has been doing. Some people would say that Calvin is as popular as the Smiley face. The Calvin praying at the cross decal is very popular.

The Jesus fish window decal, the Calvin sticker and the NO FEAR decal all make a statements of faith, and they look great!  These stickers are especially popular with guys, as a fellow almost always appreciates something for his car.

Removing Car Window Stickers and Window Decals
Removing a window decal can be very challenging, especially if you have placed the decal on a tinted window.  Once again we turn to the all-purpose ancient cure of all cures for everything, vinegar.  Or you can use WD-40, penetrating oil or Goo Gone, the all time favorite substances to use for the "soak and peel" technique. Use a cloth or a paint brush to apply the moisture to the decal, then wait and wait, occasionally applying more. This is not a fun chore on a hot day with the car in the sunshine. Pick a cloudy day or do this task in the shade. Make sure you give the sticker plenty of time to absorb moisture and don't pull on it until is very loose, to where you can start sliding it with your hand.  Some folks recommend using a razor blade, all I can say is be very careful, you run a great risk of scratching the window glass.
